David F. Schwartz
David F. Schwartz has been structuring and negotiating complex transactions in the entertainment industry since 1995. Concentrating in theatre, film and television, he represents and counsels producers, investors, writers, directors, composers and various other creatives across the spectrum. Clients include tour production company NETworks Presentations, multiple Tony Award-winning producer Orin Wolf, the New York Musical Festival (a/k/a NYMF), TheatreWorksUSA, and STATE Artist Management. He has served as production counsel for many notable productions including The Lightning Thief (Broadway and national tour), national tours of Once On This Island, A Bronx Tale, The King and I, Falsettos, Finding Neverland and Once, and motion picture The Humbling (Barry Levinson/Al Pacino).
Schwartz is also a Tony Award-winner, whose Broadway producing credits include The Band’s Visit (10 Tonys including Best Musical), Once (8 Tonys including Best Musical), and Hands on a Hardbody. Schwartz received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and is licensed to practice law in New York, California, and Washington, D.C.
