Peter Mozarsky
Senior Counsel
Peter Mozarsky is a production and content attorney with deep experience across the television and entertainment industry, known for his practical judgment and collaborative approach to solving complex legal issues without compromising creative vision.
Peter joined Gray Schwartz LLP in January 2026 as Senior Counsel after more than 30 years at HBO, followed by two years at Klaris Law. At HBO, and continuing at Klaris Law, Peter advised on virtually every phase of unscripted original programming, including documentaries, comedy specials, reality programming, concerts, late-night and variety shows, talk shows, and podcasts.
Over the course of his career, Peter served as the primary attorney for HBO’s live boxing franchise for more than 25 years and negotiated complex, multi-party rights agreements for major events including Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao. During his final six years at HBO, he led the company’s highly regarded East Coast unscripted original programming legal group. Earlier in his tenure, he also worked on scripted original movies produced by HBO’s New York-based original movie division.
Peter’s experience spans a wide range of production and content issues, from hidden camera and release matters on series such as Taxicab Confessions, to defamation and risk analysis on documentaries including Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills and The Jinx, to extensive fair use counseling on projects such as Tiger Woods and Real Time with Bill Maher. His practice also includes advising on ride-alongs, 2257 compliance, FOIA requests, reporter’s privilege, governmental agency access agreements, and negotiations with Congressional staff.
Peter received his B.A. from Columbia University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
